2.6 Groups

Web Tap supports groups for classifying alerts. The group view page will list the name of each group, the number of alerts that are currently a member of that group, and a user-provided group description. If you wish to delete or edit a group, use the “Delete” or “Edit” links. When you delete a group, any filters that add alerts to that group will remain in tact other than the group action. The filter will no longer add or move alerts to the group that has been deleted. You may not remove the main group, but you can rename it or change its description.

In the group edit page, you can change a group’s name and description. First select a group from the drop-down list, and then make changes to the name and description. Changes to the name and description will not have any effect on alerts that are in the group or on filter actions. After you have finished making changes, click on the “Save Settings” button to apply them to the selected group.
To add a new group, go to the “Add New” page in the group section. Enter a name and description for the group that will reflect the alerts that will be added to the group. You may now add alerts to the group manually from the Alert Summary Page, Alert Detail Page, or by creating a filter to add specific alerts to the group.
