Web Tap Security is Up and Running!
by Kevin Borders - November 20th, 2006
On behalf of myself and the rest of the team, welcome to WebTapSecurity.com. This site is the home of the Web Tap security products Web Tap Personal and Web Tap Enterprise. In addition to supporting our software, we hope to regularly publish articles about various topics of interest to the security community. Our first article, Paper vs. the Computer, talks about the evolution of security practices from the days of the typewriter to current times. It examines what computers really do and do not do for us in terms of security and what they have the potential to do in the future.
Here at Web Tap Security, we hope that you are able to gain a full understanding of how our products work. Our philosophy is that the more you know about our software and the concepts behind it, the better equipped you are as a security professional to deal with the latest threats, even when manually examining logs or using other products. The goal of this website and our products is not only to provide the best threat detection technology available, but to explore and discuss new methods for combatting the most dangerous security threats.
The security field as a whole is still in its early stages of development and there are a lot of problems that have yet to be solved. At Web Tap Security, we hope to stay on the cutting edge of security technology and continue to come up with innovative solutions to the most pressing issues. As such, we greatly appreciate feedback from you and other members of the community about anything and everything related to security. This includes experiences with our software, issues with software from other companies, new attacks, security incidents that you have had in your network, or anything at all. Our highest priority is fixing problems that are your highest priority. If you ever want to contact us for any reason, just send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you right way.
In closing, thank you for visiting our site. If you have a few minutes of free time, I encourage you to try out Web Tap Personal, a version of our software that is free for personal use.
